Cotton fabrics are one of the most widely used types of fabrics around the world. These fabrics are widely used in the clothing industry due to their high-water absorption and ease of covering Despite many advantages.
This type of fabric has disadvantages such as high wrinkle and lack of elasticity. To solve this problem, cotton Lycra fabrics are used. These fabrics have about 80% cotton and about 20% latex.
The biggest feature of Lakra cotton fabrics is its elasticity and high resistance to wrinkles. Also, with excellent breathability and at the same time flexibility, it gives maximum comfort to the user.
Covering cotton yarn is used to weave these fabrics. These yarns include two nutritious components and sheath. The part of the shell is made of cotton yarn and the part is nutritious.
The main purpose of using spun yarn is to take advantage of the different properties of both its components. The nutritive component increases the strength of the yarn and also allows for the required strength with less twist, while the sheath provides the appearance and physical properties of the yarn surface.
Covering cotton yarn is usually produced in grades 7s/1, 10s/1, 16s/1, 21s/1, 32s/1 and 40s/1. Also, Lycra is used as a nutritious grade of 40 and 70 denier.
Cotton yarn spinning system:
As shown in the figure, for the production of covered rubber cotton yarns, half of the cotton yarn id opened from the spindle A and after passing through the feeding rollers C, it enters the stretching area. Lycra stretch yarn E is fed to the pair of production rollers D after passing the path H at the end of the stretching area, and thus the nutritious sheath yarn is produced.
