Polyester Spun yarn

these yarns are not uniform, they cause better air circulation in clothes and more comfort. Spun yarns are usually single or multi-ply with numbers (10,12,16,30,40,50) and are used and produced by ring and open-end spinning systems. Spun yarn is used in raw and colored form by the weavers of round weaves, flat weavers, and sock weavers.

Polyester spun yarn is made by spinning Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF). This type of yarn can be obtained from both virgin polyester staple fiber and recycled polyester staple fiber. It is mainly used for knitting and weaving fabrics, sewing thread production, and embroidery. Polyester spun yarn was created to imitate cotton fiber, which was the most commonly used fiber in many different industries in the past. Cotton fibers are composed of pure cellulose and offer a soft, fluffy, comfortable, and breathable texture. Cotton products have a limited lifespan and their prices are subject to fluctuations due to their natural source. They are also considered commodity items. On the other hand, polyester spun yarn has been around for over 50 years. It offers better wrinkle resistance, reduced fading, and increased durability, making it a more durable and robust choice.

The luster of spun yarn

Luster refers to the degree of light reflected from the fiber surfaces or the degree of gloss or luster of the fibers.

Full dull

Full dull polyester spun yarn has a non-reflective and natural matte appearance achieved by modifying the surface of the fibers to reduce light reflection.

Semi-dull

The semi-dull polyester yarn has a moderate gloss level that distinguishes it from both bright and dull yarn. It offers a less shiny appearance than bright polyester yarn, while still providing a reflective surface that outshines full dull yarn.

Advantages

Spun yarn fabrics offer high tensile strength, color stability, and resistance to detergents. They do not wrinkle and maintain their original state, making them convenient for coverage.

Applications

The spun polyester yarns are long and continuous, making them suitable for textile production, crocheting, looping, embroidery, rope making, and warp and weft.

Iran Yarn Company has been importing and exporting Polyester spun yarn for over 20 years and is available to help customers with the proforma and importation process.
