Jute yarn

Jute yarn is one of the most used yarns in the field of textiles, including the machine carpet industry, which is imported and used in the domestic market.

Jute is known as the ‘Golden Fiber’ due to its golden-brown color and its importance. In terms of usage, production, and global consumption, jute is second only to cotton. It is the fiber used to make hessian sacks and garden twine. Jute is environmentally friendly as well as one of the most affordable fibers; jute plants are easy to grow, have a high yield per acre, and, unlike cotton, have little need for pesticides and fertilizers. Jute is a bast fiber, like flax and hemp, and the stems are processed similarly.

numbers of jute yarn include Jute 6,8, 10, 13, 16, 20. The most widely used grades of this yarn are 16 and 13.

Among the famous brands of this yarn are Jute Karim and Jute Akij, and other brands are known as Imax, Arco, Shamsher, Talajute and Zahrajute, etc. as miscellaneous jute yarn in the market.

Jute Producing Countries

The majority of the world’s jute is produced in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Specifically, 85% of jute production is concentrated in the Ganges River Delta, which spans throughout Bangladesh and the Bengal region of India.

While China doesn’t produce as much jute as India or Bangladesh, it is still one of the world’s major jute producers. A variety of other Asian countries also produce jute including Thailand, Burma, and Bhutan.

Jute Yarn uses

Jute fiber is an eco-friendly material that has many useful properties such as high tenacity, low thermal conductivity, antistatic property, and biodegradability. Due to these characteristics, it has a wide range of applications in various industries. Some of the most common uses of jute fiber and yarn include making carpets, floor coverings, bags, shoes, packaging, reinforced industrial applications, and sacks.

Technical textiles such as agro textiles, geotextiles, and so on are another high-potential application area for Jute as a protective layer against erosion.

Iran Yarn Company has been importing and exporting jute yarns for over 20 years and is available to help customers with the issue proforma and importation process.
